Why Online Dining Guides Are Better Than Restaurant Review Sites
A good online dining guide today will give you a restaurant description provided by the restaurant along with photos and often times a menu. The menu, so long as it is up to date, is the most important bit of information. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by its menu, most importantly whether or not you might want to order anything on it. Almost every online dining guide will also you help you locate the establishment with a map as well as provide general restaurant information like phone number and hours of operation. Good online dining guides will also allow you search by zip code or miles from a specific point and cuisine or any number of other restaurant factors. Restaurant review sites, however, offer a patron’s view of one specific dining experience over a limited amount of time and for a limited number of items. The review is very subjective and is often based upon the general attitude of the review at the time of dining or when they wrote the restaurant review. All of this offers too many potential factors that may not be representative of another dining experience at that restaurant. While an online restaurant guide may not offer the same insight into dining at a specific restaurant, it’s also much more likely to be accurate and that may be provide the most reliable information when you venture out on your next dining experience.
